John: Bali, Indonesia
I (John) moved from Scotland to Australia in 1999. Then in 2016 I moved to Bali.
"I am 63 years old and unsure if I am entitled to claim a pension from the UK. I have worked in Australia since arriving in 1999, and think maybe I am entitled to some pension for the years I worked in the UK can you please advise"? Was John's question. After supplying us with some basic information (DOB) Etc. We prepared John a personalised report and forecast based on his information. We calculated that John had worked in the UK for 26 years. He had paid his National Insurance contributions for that period. He would be entitled to a part pension 26/35th's for the years he contributed into the system, which qualified him to £7,000 per annum. Under certain circumstances, the UK Government offers you an option to increase your pension benefit by paying Voluntary Contributions. We suggested John should buy the additional 9 years of voluntary contributions available to him at the cost of £1,350. His voluntary purchasing contributions increased his entitlement to the Full State Pension. He had the option of paying the extra voluntary contributions as a lump sum or spread the cost over 3 years. John was delighted with our appraisal and instructed us to move forward on his behalf. John's claim was successful after paying for the additional credits, and he will receive his full 35 Years entitlement at retirement age. £9,300 per year for the rest of his life.Sarah: Jakarta, Indonesia
I moved overseas aged 27. I had been working in the UK since aged 16 so had been paying NI for some years.
I assumed I would receive a partial UK Pension for the years I worked but reduced due to the years I was overseas. I am so grateful that I found out I could bump up my pension at just £150 for each year. I thought it would ne much more than that. Now I just need to pay my ongoing £150 per year for the next 8 years from overseas and I will retire with a full UK pension. This is literally life changing!Eugene: Sanur, Indonesia
Thank you so much UK Pension Services Asia!! I have been impressed from start to finish with how painless the process was.
I have put off pension planning for years and had no idea that I could increase what I will receive. What a bonus to find out that I could make cheap class 2 voluntary contributions! Fantastic service, fast, efficient and highly recommended.Robert: Australia
Working in Australia most of my life and receiving my Australian pension for some years now I never gave any thought to possibly having any entitlement for the time I worked in the UK.
Through a mutual friend I met Tia and Dewi who have vast experience of the UK pension system and they advised me that I would indeed have a claim. I engaged their services and could not be happier with the outcome. Not only do I now receive a part UK pension of $3,000 per year, Dewi and Tia also secured me a deferred pension of $40,000 payed in a lump sum. Dealing with UK Pension Services Asia was a pleasure, they have the most friendly manner and took care of everything while keeping me informed every step of the way. I wish to say a big thank you to Dewi and Tia and and wish them all the best for a prosperous future.
